ABOUT  MArtyn

Martyn Cosgrave, Singer/Songwriter, based in Co. Limerick Ireland, has released his second original, self-penned single 'The Old Man'. This song represents the feeling of sorrow and reminiscence that you feel when you are about to or have lost a loved one.

In particular, this song is relative to the loss of a dad or the feelings you would experience when you are aware that you might lose your dad.

So many people will relate to this song and connect with it in a way that is such a deep emotion and I hope with this song that people will also remember, as much as they have had a huge loss, that the good times they had with their loved ones will be at the forefront of their thoughts and memories

Martyn has worked with an amazing and tenured production team in Atlanta Georgia. They've worked together on a number of music projects, and the latest of these, being ‘The Old Man’ came to fruition. Martyn had huge success with his debut single 'If You Could Read My Mind’ in April 2021, when the song went to No.1 on the mainstream overall Irish iTunes charts on it's first day of release and remained there for 38 hours. There was also a dance version released soon after, during the summer of 2021, which was produced by two Ibiza Headlining DJs (Exhale and Breathe Out Remix).

He has also released 'Be Mine', which is an original song (written by Shane Butler and Ian Colgan), in August 2021 and it went straight into the No. 1 spot again, this time on the iTunes Irish Country music chart. It also placed in the top 10 of the overall iTunes charts on the same day! Martyn subsequently released Whiskey Lullaby, a Christmas release named 'The Gift' and his version of 'Summer In Dublin' in honour of the late Liam Reilly

Martyn started back on his musical journey in late 2019 and worked his way through covid and numerous lockdowns writing lyrics and recording songs as soon as studios were reopened. He persevered and continued to do what he could within his remit and focused hard on marketing himself via social media and building his brand. This will be the fifth single release for Martyn and he has had great chart success with both his debut single ‘If You Could Read My Mind’ and subsequent original releases ‘Be Mine’ and ‘Blended Family. Martyn’s debut release went to number 1 on the overall Irish iTunes Charts and his second release went to number 1 on the iTunes Country Charts
